Quickly: Spitzer and prostitution
While I’m disappointed that NY Gov. Spitzer seems to have been busted for partaking in some high class escort action, I’m taking issue with the NY Times title on it.
“Spitzer Is Linked to Prostitution Ring” implies that he was running it, or involved in running it, as opposed to having sex with someone. I don’t think that’s fair or accurate and it bugs me.
As an aside, I don’t personally care if he was having sex with a high paid escort. If he’d been picking up junkies, I’d be pissed, but I personally think that if people are compensated appropriately…well, it’s just not that big of a deal to me. But c’mon. Is it worth getting busted and losing your political capital? I guess…
